Biography

Although she has been drawing since childhood, it was about ten years ago that she truly reconnected with the fine arts. Her creative drive is rooted in her native Saguenay, where she explored theatre, operetta, music, and painting from an early age. She built a career in communications, yet the visual and plastic arts never stopped calling to her: collage, watercolour, acrylic, oil, sculpture, inks, drawing… She experimented with all of these techniques without truly finding her path.

Soft pastel was a turning point: its light, intense colours, and direct gesture led her from an abstract approach to an intuitive form of representation. Her favourite subjects range from still lifes and floral compositions to landscapes, urban scenes, and travel memories. A globetrotter at heart, and a well-established figure in the visual arts in Deux-Montagnes, she collects atmospheres, textures, and light that she translates onto paper: lively alleyways, markets, shorelines, gardens, faces encountered along the way. She also explores contemporary works, built on gestural, textured backgrounds.

Through these works, she seeks to capture emotion in the moment — with the unique speed, sensitivity, and vibrancy of pastel.

She has had the opportunity to exhibit on several occasions, in both group and solo shows. Her work has been featured in Art and Color 360 magazine and has received awards on various occasions, notably at the international exhibition “Les Pastellistes” of the Pastel Society of Eastern Canada. She is a member of the Pastel Society of Eastern Canada, the Regroupement des artistes en arts visuels du Québec (RAAV), and the American Pastel Society.
